Thanks for the review! I barely played Prince of Persia myself but it came out when I got socialized with computer games, meaning I understand the constraints of the time. I am glad that you brought up the psychological element of the shadow - this was the one part of the game that I still remembered as special and deeper than just solving the puzzle.

I still remember, "as if it was yesterday", my brothers and I getting stuck on and eventually solving the level 12 puzzle. Maybe not as if it was yesterday, because I can't remember if it took us hours or maybe days to figure it out, but I do remember trying everything else (letting him kill us, pushing him off the edge, going around him) before finding the solution.

For more of the psychology, I really liked Mechner's talk. As far as I remember it's a lot more about the Jungian concept and Mehcner's personal experiences, but if that sounds interesting, Mechner is a great storyteller: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oyw6_G1lbvg
